Information we handle

- Messages you send: if you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message, attachments, or other details you choose to provide.
- Advertising and consent information: when advertising or consent tools are active, they may process cookie identifiers, device information, interactions with ads, and your consent choices as described below.
The recipe search runs in your browser. Typing in the search box does not submit your search to a separate search provider. Search terms may appear in the page URL; if you share that URL, your search terms are included.
Why we use information
We use information to deliver pages and images, maintain security, prevent abuse, respond to messages, handle correction or rights requests, and support the site through advertising where enabled.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on consent for optional cookies or advertising, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and answering inquiries, or compliance with legal obligations, depending on the activity and applicable law.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
Advertising on Recipes Daddy may be provided by Google AdSense. When Google ads are displayed, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites on the Internet.

Recipe ratings
When you vote, we store the recipe, your score, a random browser identifier, and the time of your most recent vote in Cloudflare D1. We do not ask for your name or email. A functional cookie called rd_rating_voter is set when you vote and lasts up to one year. It is used only for ratings, so voting again from the same browser updates your score. Clearing cookies or using another browser can allow another vote; these are community ratings, not verified identities.
To limit automated submissions, we derive a daily pseudonymous identifier from your request IP address and a private salt. The raw IP is not stored in our ratings database. Rate-limit records expire within 24 hours and are removed on subsequent voting requests. Votes remain until removed or the service ends. Contact us for privacy requests; an anonymous vote may be difficult to identify without its browser identifier. Cloudflare may separately process request data to deliver and protect the service.
Service providers and disclosures
We use Cloudflare to help host, deliver and protect the website, and Cloudflare R2 to deliver site images. Cloudflare may process technical request and security data. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Email providers process communications when you contact us. Advertising and consent providers may process data when their services are used. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with law, respond to a lawful request, or protect the website and people’s rights.
Providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where applicable, transfers are subject to the safeguards required by data-protection law and the relevant provider’s terms.
How long we keep information
We retain messages and related records for as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical and security data are retained according to the relevant service’s configuration and operational needs. Cookie and consent retention varies by purpose and provider; consult the consent message and provider information for details.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent.
